Blockify’s mission is to reduce tracking and unwanted content across the web while keeping your data safe.

Informacje, które zbieramy

1) Ad filtering on your device (default behavior)

To filter trackers/ads, the extension inspects page elements and text on your device. This processing is typically ephemeral - used to decide what to block or redact - and the underlying page content isn’t sent to our servers.

2) Technical & usage data

We may collect extension diagnostics and aggregated usage data such as: extension version and settings, browser and OS type/version, general extension activity (e.g., error logs, update checks), and aggregated, de-identified usage statistics. This information is not linked to you personally and is handled in de-identified/aggregated form to guide stability and feature quality.

Primary use: Triage and filter prioritization

We use limited technical and usage data to determine whether ad filtering is needed or may be malfunctioning on particular websites and URLs, and to assess the number of users affected. This enables us to triage issues and prioritize the development, testing, and deployment of filters.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process this limited information on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating, maintaining, securing, and improving Blockify and providing effective ad filtering. The web contains more than one billion websites, while Chrome’s Manifest V3 framework imposes finite rule quotas - including a lower 5,000-rule limit for certain dynamic rules and around 30,000 static rules. We therefore cannot create or deploy filters for every potential website or ad format. This processing is necessary to prioritize the websites and URLs affecting the most users, allocate our available rule capacity responsibly, and improve ad-blocking efficacy and user experience.

operate, maintain, and improve Blockify’s features;
ensure filtering performance and reliability;
debug issues and resolve crashes;
analyze aggregate usage to make product decisions; and
respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

De-identified data (server-side). Przechowujemy je tylko tak długo, jak jest to konieczne do poprawy jakości i niezawodności filtrowania. Okresowo sprawdzamy, czy dalsze przechowywanie jest potrzebne, a następnie usuwamy dane lub poddajemy je dalszej agregacji.
Technical & usage analytics. Przechowujemy je wyłącznie przez okres niezbędny do realizacji celów opisanych w niniejszej Polityce, a następnie usuwamy lub dodatkowo pozbawiamy informacji umożliwiających identyfikację.
Support communications. Przechowujemy ją do czasu rozwiązania zgłoszenia, a następnie usuwamy w rozsądnym terminie. Zagregowane statystyki, które nie pozwalają zidentyfikować użytkownika, takie jak liczba zgłoszeń danego rodzaju, mogą być przechowywane dłużej w celu analizy trendów.

Use Blockify without sharing personal info. The extension can run without you providing personal details.

Appendix: Key definitions (for clarity)

“De-identified” means data where direct identifiers have been removed, and where we maintain measures not to re-identify a person.
“Anonymized/aggregated” means data that cannot reasonably be linked back to an individual, often combined with many other data points to understand trends.
“Personal information/PII” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a particular person or household.
